This summer is all about creating fun moments at home. Skip the formal dinner routine and serve a party platter for a relaxed evening meal.
Our Fruit & Cheese board is an entire meal in one: small bites, enough cheese and charcuterie to replace a main course, and sweet fruit and toppings - basically dessert throughout the entirety of the meal...yes, please!
THE SET UP
Serve all the goods on a large cheese board. Our Natural Bamboo Insert turns the Interchangeable Tray into a cheese board, and the sides of the tray help keep everything on the board.
Set up the space with small plates so everyone can make their own mini assortments.
Create an an elevated feeling with summery napkins, flowers, and greenery.
THE CHEESE
Serve a variety of cheeses with different textures, flavors, and colors.
Our recommendations include:
- Blueberry goat cheese - sweet, creamy, and it's color brightens up the board
- Gouda - rich flavor and firm texture
- Blue Stilton - tangy flavor and adds pops of blue
MOZZARELLA PEACH PROSCUITTO BITES
Spend a few extra minutes preparing these sweet and savory bites to add something special to your board - your evening at home deserves it.
Cut round pieces of mozzarella (or use precut mozz - even better!). Top each round with proscuitto and a peach slice.
Optional: drizzle with balsamic vinegar. We'll be honest, we forgot this step (it happens to the best of us), but it's too good not to mention.
FRUIT, NUTS, CHARCUTERIE, & CRACKERS
Include a variety of crackers and your favorite fresh summer fruits. We love grapes and raspberries. Other options that pair well with these cheeses are strawberries, plums, and apples.
For additional charcuterie, peppered salami adds a contrast in flavor.
Sprinkle herbed nuts throughout the board to add herbal flavor (we love rosemary Marcona almonds).
Finally, for something hot, serve a sweet & spicy jelly (we love Trader Joe's Hot Pepper Jelly) in a small bowl. Don't forget a serving spoon!
Pour youself a glass (or two) of Rosé, sit back, relax, and enjoy a one-board summer meal.
